A cyber security incident that impacts a small business can be devastating. Cyber security does not have to be difficult. There are simple measures that, if understood and implemented, can significantly avoid or reduce the impact of the most common cyber security incidents.
We understand that owners and operators of small businesses do not have much time to spend on finding tools to help reduce cyber threats. This cybersecurity toolkit allows small to medium businesses to access free products from trusted cybersecurity companies to improve their security. You can select the tools that best suit your business needs and leverage the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre’s toolkit webinars and training.
The tools in the Australian GCA Cybersecurity Toolkit for Small Business are selected based on a number of factors including usability, functionality, and support of the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential Eight Maturity Model. Financial support is provided by the Australian Cyber Collaboration Centre, which serves as a Development Partner and has helped shape the toolkit to align to best practice and guidelines for Australian organisations.
The Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Small Business Cyber Security Guide has been specifically designed for small businesses to understand, take action, and improve their cyber security resilience. It is written in plain language with no jargon. The actions are simple, and the guidance is tailored for small businesses.
The Cyber Security Assessment is an online tool from the Australian Cyber Security Centre to assess your organisation’s cyber security strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvements. It provides guidance as an Adobe PDF document.
The tool is completely free and uses a simple form based assessment methodology.
