Journalist Toolkit

Unfortunately, a cybersecurity attack does not discriminate between a full-time journalist and a freelance journalist. The latter could mean not having a safety net or the backing of an employer, personally exposing yourself to a vast array of cyber risks.

So, we at the Global Cyber Alliance want to cater our Cybersecurity Toolkit for Journalists with your stories and experiences in mind.

That means, if you have:

    • Been the subject of a cyberattack
    • Had any personal information, work product, or sources compromised while reporting
    • Faced pushback in the digital space from unknown or known actors (trolls, nation states, etc.)

Then, please reach out to [email protected] and share your stories with us. We’d appreciate the opportunity to speak with you and learn more, and if possible to use an anonymized version of your experience to better inform and improve our resources for the protection of the journalist community.
