Backup and Recover

Use the tools below to back up your data and recover files in case of a ransomware attack, or other catastrophe. Select your operating system to get started.

While it’s important to take all the necessary steps to secure your systems, applications and devices, you also need to make sure you have a way to access and retrieve the data contained on them. Backups are copies of data that are stored separately from your computer or device. Backups are critical so you have access to your information in case it is lost, stolen or held “ransom” by an attacker.

Up-to-date backups are critical for recovery from cyber attacks (and are generally very good business protection). Additionally, make sure your backups don’t stay connected to your computers. Unplug your external backup device once a successful backup is completed. The tools in this toolbox help you create automatic backups based on what type of system you are using.
