Public Interest Registry and the Global Cyber Alliance have partnered to develop this toolkit to address the cybersecurity needs of the mission-based community.
Experts warn that cybersecurity incidents “have increased in both frequency and sophistication since the pandemic began as threat actors seek to take advantage of the unusual circumstances under which nearly all of us are working.” In addition, many mission-based organizations, such as non-profits, NGOs, or other non-commercial entities engaged in local, regional, or global social good activities, find themselves defending against private or public aggressors who deploy sophisticated technical means to undermine their campaigns in support of human rights, free and fair elections, social justice, or environmental protection. The challenges are daunting.
GCA and PIR encourage organizations to share the toolkit with the communities in which they are connected. We all benefit—economically and socially—when all parts of the digital ecosystem are more secure.
